The card is a mirror and gateway into your past, present, future – and your heart. Artist Sonia Wong taps into the mystic energy of this queer summer night to guide you along a journey of reflection and imagination.  

Sonia Wong is a Hong Kong-based interdisciplinary artist, advocate, writer, and scholar. Her mutable identities enrich her work, allowing her to intertwine the personal with the political, emotions with the intellectual. Rooted in reflections of the histories and colonial legacies of Asia, Sonia explores gender, identity, intimacy, violence, power, among other themes using text as the main carrier, while developing artistic expressions that combine spatial design, installation, interaction, theatre, movement and contemporary performance. Sonia is especially known for her one-on-one performances, which is an extension of her interest in the conditions of human connection and the power of presence, driving her to create encounters that are deliberately intimate and personal.
